My Secret Brain

During the discussion in class about learning profiles, I learnt which part of my brain was the dominant part. My right hemisphere is dominant meaning that I am a gestalt learner. A gestalt learner sees the big picture rather than small details that a logic person would know and see.

However,while I am a gestalt learner with the right hemisphere very dominant one part of me ,my eyes is not. I am right eared, right handed, and right footed. However I am left eyed. This gives me a learning profile of "K".

So my teacher needs to understands that I learn best by through movement, like drama. For example the play for Theseus, it was easier to understand the story line than anything else, it stuck with me than reading from the book. Even though I have a upper hand in Visual, I need to see the the whole picture and need the most information.

As I, a student, I can't communicate really well if under-stress. Sometimes I can see the whole picture in math, but I need to make it smaller pieces so I could understand the whole picture. This happens to humanities subject mostly, it is hard to take it in some big facts, hard to understand to even though I can see the whole picture.

I should be responsible where I sit in class if I read with my left eye, and read right to left, I need to find a comfortable place to seat instead of sitting in the wrong area. I would try to understand hard information and try to make the information much easier instead of being helpless. I would need to really now how to communicate properly by reading out loud, writing, drawing. I need to sit in front of the class on the left side of the room so I can easily see the board instead of having trouble reading.
